Women's High Sierra Classic: 5-Day Backpack & Yoga in Yosemite
Explore the mountains, the alpine lakes and the quiet meadows of the Sierra Nevada in this classic 5-day course. The dramatic backcountry of Yosemite National Park will be our course area for the entire five days. Our focus will be on gaining backcountry skills such as equipment use, route-finding techniques, backcountry cooking and low impact ethics.
This remote, wild setting also serves as an ideal place for an exploration of the self through reflection in journals and yoga. Glacier polished rock slabs and the grassy banks of a high alpine lake provide ample space and inspiration.
Highlights of the trip includes some solo reflective time and a group ascent of a prominent Sierra Nevada peak or pass. We return from the backcountry feeling refreshed, having learned new skills and full with stories and experiences. As anyone who has spent time in wilderness can attest, there's nothing like it that makes you feel connected to a group of people and lets you gain a better understanding of yourself.

Women of Color 4-Day Backpack: Yoga and Backpacking in Yosemite
This 4 day wilderness course takes place in the backcountry of Yosemite National Park and is designed specifically for women who identify as a woman of color. Women and specifically women of color are highly under-represented in the backcountry. Our course is designed to introduce women of color to the outdoors in a safe and supportive environment. Trips are led by women of color.
Our core curriculum of yoga and reflection is incorporated on this trip as much as weather and time allows. Outdoor yoga classes on the banks of alpine lakes or in grassy meadows are nice ways to unwind after a long hiking day. Afternoons or evenings of writing and sharing in journals are nice ways to reflect on personal growth and achievements during the trip, or to sketch or observe the beautiful environment we are in.
Join us for a remarkable trip in Yosemite's wilderness!

Women over 40 Backpack: Yoga and Hiking in Yosemite
This 4 day wilderness course takes place in the dramatic backcountry of Yosemite National Park and is designed specifically for women over 40.
It is unique to share a tent, life experiences, and backcountry vistas with women from varying decades. This trip is a response to requests from women to do trips catered toward the "Wise Women".
As we age, we find new creaks and aches, new emotions and struggles, new adventures and excitements. This trip will give us ample opportunity to spend time in the backcountry with less focus on carrying a heavy backpack or traveling many miles. We will hike to a base and set up camp for 2 nights giving us ample time to explore the alpine meadows, hike to a high peak or pass, dip in the cool lakes, watch sunsets, do yoga, write in journals and have a lot of fun. We'll have porter support to carry group gear into and out of the backcountry.
This is a great trip for those with injured backs, creaky knees, who like a relaxed pace, or who enjoy spending quality time in the back-county.
